Rigorous metallurgical control, precision calibrated laboratory testing, and unwavering commitment to Indian & international standards.
Every coil produced at Balwant Wires moves through strict metallurgical gate checkpoints.
We source only tested virgin steel wire rods (low, medium & high carbon) from primary steel makers. Every heat lot undergoes optical emission spectrometry to verify exact Carbon, Manganese, Silicon, Phosphorus, and Sulphur chemistry.
Hot-rolled oxide scale is removed using temperature-regulated hydrochloric acid pickling baths, followed by multi-stage water rinsing, borax phosphate coating, and drying to ensure smooth lubricated die entry.
Drawn through water-cooled tungsten carbide and PCD (polycrystalline diamond) reduction dies on continuous high-speed drawing blocks. Continuous laser micrometers ensure ±0.01 mm gauge tolerances.
To eliminate internal stresses and restore optimum grain structure, wires are heat treated in bell annealing furnaces under controlled inert atmosphere, producing uniform dead-soft ductility without surface oxidation.
Passed continuously through a molten zinc bath maintained at 450°C. Advanced nitrogen wiping dies control zinc layer thickness uniformly around the circumference, resulting in unbreakable metallurgical zinc-iron alloy bonding.
Final sample coils from every batch are subjected to Universal Tensile Testing (UTM), Mandrel Wrap Adhesion tests, Torsion checks, and Preece chemical tests before generating formal Manufacturer Test Certificates.
We do not assume quality; our testing laboratory proves it with certified empirical data.
Calibrated electronic UTM testing machines measure ultimate tensile strength (UTS), yield point, and percentage elongation across soft, medium, and spring grades.
Gravimetric stripping method (IS 6745) to determine exact mass of zinc coating in g/m² alongside Preece copper sulphate dipping to verify coating uniformity.
Wires are wound tightly around cylindrical mandrels (1x to 4x wire diameter) to ensure the galvanized zinc layer exhibits zero flaking, micro-cracking, or peeling.
Our products conform to major Indian and international manufacturing benchmarks.
